DRAWS MORE THAN 5,000 DISTRIBUTORS IN ST. LOUIS
ST. LOUIS, Aug. 14, 2007 - RelìvInternational, Inc. (NASDAQ:RELV), a maker of soy-based nutritional supplements, said more than 5,000 independent distributors from 11 countries attended its international conference here from Aug. 9-11.
Highlights of the conference included:
- A charitable event that raised more than $180,000 for the RelìvKalogris Foundation.
- An announcement of the 50 winners of the Mega-Bonus promotion who in total collected more than $700,000.
The distributors also received other forms of recognition and training during the conference.
The winners of the Mega-Bonus promotion, which was open to all Relìvdistributors worldwide, had the highest group sales volume from August 2006 through July 2007. The 50 winners received cash awards ranging from $1,000 to $100,000.
The company also announced the members of its President’s Team, which is comprised of the distributors who had the highest incomes in 2006. The newest members are Doug and Trish Fischer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Richard and Linda Vance of Clayton, Calif.; and Mike and Julie Williams of Eureka, Mo.
Returning President’s Team members (in alphabetical order) are Joe and Carol Felger of Naperville, Ill.; John and Jacque Hayes of Phoenix; Doris and Henry Leissing of Hendersonville, N.C.; Tom and Valarie Moody of Chicago; Tom and Karen Pinnock of Orlando, Fla.; Terry and Gayla Renton of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Jim and Marge Rodgers of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; Pat and Jane Rodgers of Chicago; Jim and Sandy Schaben of Columbus, Neb.; and Phil and Betty Wolf of Richmond, Va.
Approximately 4,000 people registered for the walk/run event in downtown St. Louis to raise money for the RelìvFoundation. They paid $15 each to participate. In addition, many distributors separately raised funds for the Foundation in their home towns. The company contributed $50,000 in matching funds, bringing the total to more than $180,000.
The RelìvFoundation distributes free nutritional supplements daily to nearly 25,000 impoverished people in 10 countries. In many cases, the supplements are the only nutritional intake the recipients receive each day. Since its founding in 1995, the Foundation has given out more than $13 million in nutritional supplements to people in more than 15 countries.
